Ooh. Well done. Wait! That's DEPP under there? *peers dubiously* Ah, well...I've always kind of enjoyed musing over the possibility of Depp playing Erik. While I don't think he'd be perfect for the role, I definitely think he could give Erik's character an interesting edge. Much better than Gerik, anyhow. Especially if it was directed by Tim Burton. I can see some degree of potential there, don't you think?
...Of course, I'd rather it be ME directing it. With my copy of Phantom glued to my hand, to make it as canon as possible.
Yes, yes it is XD. I think he would be good enough, that is to say, we all know he can sing, and we've known he can act...so why the hell not? Anyway, it'd be DAMN hot... Yes, I've certainly considered the possibility and even discussed it with fellow fans before XD. I'd adore a Susan Kay version on film, no matter who did it...but if Johnny signed on, I would cream my pants. I've also used him as a model for some of my drawings of Nadir, so he's rather versatile. So long as he's in there, somewhere XD.
Yeah. I was talking about it to someone here awhile back...there are pros and cons to it, of course. It'd be kinda bad because you'd have another slew of fans coming on purely for the sake of seeing Depp and not at all for Erik. Everyone would start liking it just because of that. *shudders at the thought of the resulting fanfiction that would appear* And while I admire Depp as an actor, I wonder how perfectly he'd be able to pull off Erik. I get REALLY picky about my Erik. *hugs protectively*
Of course, Depp is about Erik's age now, which helps somewhat, and if the director (MEMEME!!!) was to do a proper, canon makeup job or digital editing or whatever, and he actually looked as disfigured and ugly (I don't mean that in a bad way, Erik, don't be offended!) as he was supposed to instead of it being random twisted flesh and sunburns...then it might be all right. But he'd have to act VERY convincingly.
Ooh, I've never thought of him as Nadir...I must say that idea has quite a bit of merit, too...*ponders thoughtfully, staring absently at Erik's eyes*
Hehe, might I recommend Mozart's Requiem in D Minor, or perhaps Barber's Adagio for Strings? XD Those are some pretty damn sad songs. Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy it. He could definitely benefit from a hug, though I doubt he'd let many close enough to give him one. He'd roll over in his coffin-bed if he knew just how many girls (and some guys, I'm sure) would love to give themselves to him, willingly haha. He'd certainly find us all to be absolutely insane .
I don't know if it's just me but when I look at this picture he seems sad, something about the eyes (which are amazing by the way) I think that just make him look a bit like a kicked puppy... I feel like I want to hug him, heh, but then that could be the tiredness and insanity coming to the fore.... Either way very nice; certainly the best realistic unmasked Erik I've seen in quite some time.
The utter creepyness of your work never ceases to amaze. Either way, this is quite possibly the most realistic portrayal of Erik that I've ever come across. Way to go for sticking with the Leroux version. ^.^
Thanks, it was a bitch to try and get it right. Lots of flipping and re-sizing and stuff. And I had to put the bloody ring there, but I thought I should, and leave it in colour. For symbolic purposes. Or something XD.
